Product Questions
Our various products offer different characteristics. Our liquid calcium chloride is hygroscopic, which it attracts moisture from its environment keeping the road surface damp and dust particles down. Whereas our lignin sulfonates act as a “glue” binding dust particles together, keeping them in place on the ground.
You’ll want to contact us early in the year. We review each application individually, and we also have to make sure the weather is optimal to maximize the effectiveness of your product application. The sooner you reach out to us the better!
Most completed product treatments won’t wash away in the rain. A light rain can actually rejuvenate your application. Once your liquid treatment has had a chance to dry or absorb into the road base, it will be effective throughout the season depending on external factors. For most gravel roads, two applications are efficient for effective dust control throughout the season.
